CLaCS method

Metóda CLaCS, Pavel Staško pri zákroku
  • Cryo-Laser and Cryo-Sclerotherapy
  • It is an innovative, minimally invasive method of varicose vein treatment that combines laser therapy and sclerotherapy with the simultaneous use of cold (cryotherapy).
  • This advanced treatment technology not only solves the problem of varicose veins, but also delivers minimal pain, fast recovery and an aesthetically perfect appearance.
  • It is suitable for a wide range of vein problems – from tiny spider veins to larger varicose veins.

The course of the procedure

  • Ultrasound diagnosis: first, a detailed diagnostic ultrasound is performed to identify the affected veins and their condition. This helps the doctor plan treatment and determine which veins will be treated.
  • Cryotherapy (cooling): during the procedure, cold is applied to the treated area, which reduces pain and improves patient comfort. Cooling also constricts the superficial blood vessels, minimizing the risk of bruising.
  • Laser Therapy: This is followed by the application of laser light directly to the surface of the skin over the varicose veins. The laser beams heat the vein and cause it to contract and close.
  • Sclerotherapy: After laser treatment, a sclerosing agent (concentrated glucose) is injected into the vein, which damages the inner wall of the vein and causes it to close further.
  • Gradual absorption of the vein: After closure, the vein is gradually absorbed by the body and the varicose vein disappears. This process can take several weeks to months.

Before the procedure

  • Preparation for the CLaCS procedure is simple and does not require any demanding measures. It is important to follow the doctor’s instructions carefully to ensure a successful and complication-free procedure.
  • The patient will have a consultation with our vascular surgeon, who will assess the condition of their veins and decide if the CLaCS procedure is appropriate.
  • Prior to the procedure, we recommend avoiding sunbathing or any direct sun exposure to the treatment area to prevent skin irritation. On the day of the procedure, we do not recommend using any creams, oils or other products on your skin to avoid affecting the progress of the treatment.
  • Inform your doctor of any medications you are taking, allergies or medical conditions (such as bleeding disorders or pregnancy).
  • It is advisable to come to the procedure in comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement and is easy to remove.

After the procedure

  • There are no specific restrictions after the CLaCS procedure. The patient follows the doctor’s instructions.
  • We recommend avoiding hot baths, sauna or whirlpools for a few days to avoid skin irritation.
  • The doctor may recommend wearing compression stockings to promote healing and improve blood circulation in the legs.
  • It is normal to experience minor bruising or mild swelling after the procedure. However, should you experience severe pain, a large swollen area, redness, or other unusual symptoms, contact your treating physician.
  • It is important that you follow all of your doctor’s recommendations and instructions, including scheduled follow-up visits, to ensure optimal healing and a successful outcome of the procedure.

Removal of varicose veins using LASER

Odstránenie metličkových varixov pomocou LASERa
  • The laser treatment offered by this technology provides a very precise and targeted solution. QUANTA SYSTEM is a cutting-edge laser device that has been developed to guarantee not only exceptional results, but also maximum comfort for the patient throughout the process.
  • This type of treatment uses advanced laser technology that targets tiny blood vessels without damaging the surrounding tissues. This precision is one of the reasons why this type of treatment is so popular.
  • One of the other great benefits of using the QUANTA SYSTEM laser is its safety. This type of laser is designed to meet the strictest medical standards.

The course of the procedure

  • During the procedure, the laser beam penetrates the skin and selectively heats the affected coils. This heating causes the walls of the varicose veins to stick together and eventually close completely. This process causes the varicose veins to gradually fade and after a few weeks or months they may disappear completely.
  • The procedure is very precise, and as a result, the risk of damage to the surrounding skin or other structures is minimal. In addition, most patients report that the treatment is relatively quick and almost painless, making it an ideal choice for those who prefer simple and comfortable solutions.
  • During the procedure, the patient’s skin color and type is taken into consideration, making the treatment highly individualized. This means that the device is adjusted to the exact needs of the individual patient, guaranteeing an optimal result. In addition, the QUANTA SYSTEM laser is equipped with advanced cooling systems that reduce the sensation of heat or discomfort during the procedure

  • It is important to note that laser removal of varicose veins is not only effective, but also relatively easy in terms of time and recovery.
